    Exhaust Note

I just installed a custom weld on stainless performance muffler. It sounds a little louder than I anticipated especially in the car but maybe it takes getting used to. So far no trouble with Johnny Law. The power gain is great.

Is there anything I can do to silence it a bit? I thought about switching the tip with a resonator tip or sound proofing the trunk. Thanks for any suggestions.

you'll get used to it.. eventually... if not try throwing a resanator between your cat and the muffy its self... that will most defanatly quiet her down.

I was scared crapless when I installed my AlphaWerks exhaust, its about as loud as it gets :) But then after driving for a few months and passing 10,000 cops I realized that it was all in my head and that there are plenty of trucks that are louder then me :) So it's all good.

Yeah, if "Johnny Law" leaves YamahaTundrav8 alone with his Borla dual's...you're good.
FYI: I can hear YamahaTundrav8's exhaust...through the phone...in the cab...at 70 miles an hour.

yea ive had my exhaust for 4 years and about 3 months ago some gung-ho jonny law decides to pull me over. i have every respect for cops but shouldnt they be out solving crimes and catching speeders or people to who dont pull over for emergency vehicles instead of trying to get me for my exhaust?

What effect will a resonator have on performance? Will I loose power?

We wouldn't want to wake up the sleeping kids in the back of the minivan.

Or disturb the guy talking on his cell, to his brother about how his sister's been secretly eating cardboard boxes at work.

    :p

Nothing is louder then no exhaust :) I remember going to demolition durbies as a kid and seeing the little Geo Metro's with uncapped headers running around sounding like they had hot race engines in them ;)

Apparently my Rolla already has a resonator from the factory. So much for the idea of adding one.

Is your car within the decibal rating? If so buy a decibal reader from radio shack or something and keep it in your car and show it to the cop if he trys to hassle you.
