i tried custom magnaflow when i use to have my car. But IMO the borla exhaust is the best sound but i don't know if its a cat back or not.

i have the magnaflow cat back on my corolla and i think it sounds better than anything ive ever heard on a 4 cylinder car. its really deep through the revs and it idles almost silent so you can still keep the car quiet if ya need to. i had a custom cat back for a year or so with the resonator cut out and it was cool for a while but it was so loud that it got annoying on long drives not to mention the people that put it on had very bad welding abillities and it started to leak all over so i pitched it and got the magnaflow.

I have my custom 2.25"/2.5" exhaust with an HKS Carbon-Ti Muffler.

I left the resonator on simply for sound control purposes, but even so, it's still got clean, smooth, deep sound. If it's still too loud, you can get an inner muffler silencer, but those things look gay.
