Welcome to the forum. A lot of engines are compatible with your year of corolla and even the 98 - 02 corollas. Anything is possible, you just need some cash to back it up.

Your best option budget and horsepower wise is the 4agze, but that's more like an opinion, which i think a lot of people here would agree too.

could also do a 3SGTE, or 2ZZGE would also be very fun but much more expensive than a 4A swap i would assume

Anyone know where I can get my hands on the 4AGZE (importing companies etc.) for "relatively" cheap, ~$1000-$1200, cash is tight as a student but i plan on working inside out this summer.

no pics yet, just got it, its bone stock right now, im in university so it'll be a slow process. I'm the type of person that would rather have it run good than look good.

I would normally disagree with this, but we have heard this a million times and has been covered many more times.

LMAO. I can still remember when I was a young grasshoppa. I asked the exact same questions...

Now, Im still a young grasshoppa but I try not to spend anymore on the AE82. Not because I dont care for her, but because I know there will truly be no way I can beat the K series engine without mucho $. Thus I bought the bike. Now, I beat more than the K engine :thumb:

    @ OP:
best bet is to get a 4age or gze somewhere with matching 6spd LSD, do the work yourself, get some nice coilovers, a paintjob, some wheels, a good set of speakers and call it a day.

for a 93 Corolla AE100/101 chassis code you can bolt on a 4age ST/BT if your going for the 4age swap... might as well get the Blacktop 6 spd w/ LSD tranny. assuming you have a 4afe under your hood? some peeps even try a 4efte on their rolla's.

to help answer your question celica engines like the 3sge and 3sgte Beams engine can also be fitted on. Just make room for it in your wallet.
