Engine stuff for my 01 Prizm

I got this 01 Chevy Prim recently with 135K on it. Its an 01 Corolla clone. My engine is ghuzzling oil like crazy and someone suggested that I should do a major overhaul and replace piston rings and stuff. Anyone knows if I can find the so called "Engine Kit" for my car? and if it is really worth it?

They sell those on ebay. I've seen them around. Search under 1ZZFE kit. It replaces all your gaskets and rings so that should be exactly what you need.

Found a match for 98-99 Geo Prizm. Will this work for an 01 Prizm too? Quite expensive too.

for as long as they share the same engine variant, then there won't be any problem at all... usually if your engine is eating up oil, then you need to find out if you need your piston rings and valve seals changed, most of the time, these are the areas that should be checked on... another thing is observing the smoke your car makes...</font>
