Looks good, but you want to consider a custom cold air later on. Looking at your setup makes me think of all that heat soak.

My very first ebay SAI was exactly the same. It rattled and actually lost me power to the point where I went back to stock. It was an experience though.

    ^^
my brakes rattle i was wondering why they did that; now i know thanx

I noticed a gain in acceleration, but the main reason i bought it was for the sound because i knew a 10 dollar intake wasn't gonna give the car a lot a power

If you plan on keeping this intake, maybe you should heat wrap the tube and get a heat shield for the filter.

    you didnt get any CEL?
if you change your exhaust + your intake, you can gain a tiny bit of horses. with the intake, you gain low end torque so it feels faster off the line... but you loose some at top end.

    i miss my 03. :(

someone explained it to me when i bought mine and it makes sense.

sri will improve throttle response and a little bit of high-end power
cai will also improve your throttle response but not as much, and will add more power than the SRI

yours looks a little bigger then mine for some reason.

What you need is a custom 2 stage variable intake. A Short Cold Air Variable Intake(SCAVI) I call it. It would have 1 long traditional tube just like a CAI running into the fender with a filter. A 2nd tube would branch from the long tube close the the throttle body and end with a filter still under the hood(SAI...short air intake). A butterfly valve would be covering the junction to the short air intake side and rigged to open according to engine speed and load. The valve will remain shut at low engine speed and would open at high engine speeds, thus giving you the best of both worlds. Instant throttle response and torque from the CAI section and horsepower and flow from the SAI section. :D

the system weapon r has is basically 2 tubes in one making some of the air flow faster kinda like a jet engine. it doesnt have 2 valves its just 1 tube inside of the other to flow air a little faster

as seen in this picture(i suck at hotlinking images)
    http://www.wesellcarparts.com/store...ecretweapon.jpg

so as you can see, its not like the bmw one which has a sai attached to a cai. the attachment tube that comes with it doesnt count bcuz it doesnt cover the entire filter only the end of it and doesnt open or close at certain speeds so as rollatuner said you would have to make your own and program a valve to open and close at certian speeds, btw weapon-r did make a CAI for the 98 corolla if im not mistaken.
