    Engine changing sound

Interesting thing happened in past 2 days, my engine/exhaust started to sound differently.

Normally I had a nice deep sounding exchaust eversince it was made by crown muffler in staten island about 4 years ago (custom 2.5 inch pipes bent with reactive oval stainless steel muffler). But in past days i was driving without the stereo on and I noticed a change in pitch and increased vibration, the car sounds now more like a honda civic with a bolt on muffler than my origninal rolla. I will tune the car tommorow, new oil, new fillter, new air filter but I'm wondering could this be

    a. a leak in the exchaust and I need new pipes

    b. something wrong with the engine (scary)

    I have a 1995 with only 102k on, so

just did, damn i'm back to stock exhaust pipe, still kept my reactive muffler but the piping is back to OEM toyota, with exception of the part leading to the muffler which (since i use after market muffler) grafted from Chevy Venture's header down pipe cause the shape was correct and it had a flex elbow. Still have have my stainless header on and the cat is just a decoration since i crowbared the insides out
