they're kinda sold out. but keep searching ebay or vvti.net forums. once in a while they show up. i bought a non-vvti ELP-CAI and i had to modify it so that my MAF can fit. it works just fine for me. but keep your eyes open. you can always make one yourself! ebay sells intake tubing and couplers. i'm thinking about doing that! i beleive someone on here made a custom cai. you need this special part.

attatch couplers and intake tubing. ohh yeah make a hole in the pipe so you can attatch your pcv hose to the intake and voila! you have a cai. you can route it any which way you want away from hot under-the-hood temps

Dudes, I have that stupid Spectre MAFS adapter and trust me the MAF dosen't fit. I'm stuck with my CAI modding coz the darn hole on this adapter and all the supproting mounts are a little too small. You'll have to bore it out a little and thats crappy plastic...not too good for boring out.

Also, if you have a Mandrel accesible, just bend a 2.5" aluminium pipe in the shape of the ELPCAI and weld a 3/8" pipe/nozzle (for the vacuum hose) to the main tube. Then, cut out a hole big enough for the MAFS to go through and use the mount from the above spectre thingy. You might need to bore it out a little, but who knows, maybe I just got a crappy piece and yours might just fit right.

WHOA!! NEVERMIND. he used an old SRI and hacked it up and made his own custom piping... screw the spectre!!!

polkadots, just get an sri hack it around the maf hole and pcv tube and couple it with other bent intake pipe.

    ELP CAI FTW!!!:)

Hey jon, Dr. Tweak did a custom CAI. The guy relocated his bat so his CAI just goes straight through the hole, looks cleaner and more efficient. I'll try to find pictures.

I would have done this early on but I don't want to run lead wires from the battery in the trunk all the way back up to the car.

It's fairly easy to do. You just need wires, battery box, fuse box.

Here's a diagram from a friend at GT:

The problem is that I have a grounding kit so with the battery in the trunk, it would render the kit useless.

It won't be useless. If you look at the diagram, there's a negative(blue) wire that goes back to the engine bay. All you have to do is to mount your grounding kit in the same area.:)

Ok... but even if I move the battery to the trunk, I still have my ELP CAI. LOL I don't want to get rid of it. hehe
