    Can u use a 4afe ecu to run a 7afe????

    I don't think manual trannies have seperate ecu's, only autos do.

    3 speed auto tranny ecu same as 5spd stick ecu

    if you have an A/t w/ overdrive then you need the ecu from a stick or 3speed auto

    neither do I but toyota did.....those bastards making it hard for conversions :(

    finally got vvti back up :) okay since were asking about ecus I might as well....how much would the ecu of a mannny 1998 corolla run me? Im going to be doing the conversion cause auto well lets be honest sucks when it comes down to racing :( and for future mods itll help out alot.

    where are u getting the shift linkage and pedal assembly?

    even if it's electronically controlled, you can use the auto ecu with the manual..... but i would suggest that when you run by one, you grab a manual ecu.... watch your junkyards

    The 4spd ECU is different from the 3spd and Man. The reason is that the 3spd is not elec. controlled. Niether(of course) is the man. You can get a junkyard ECU for about $50 from carparts.com- they linl to about 5000 junkyards across the country...

    its aight I got a price for the whole conversion...1700 including labor so fuck it Imma go with that :)
