    Dyno'd the car yesterday

Took the car to a local shop with a Dynojet and did 2 pulls, one pull normal, 169.62whp, 146.57 torque. Second pull I bypassed the waste gate on the blower just out of curiosity, 165.33whp and 143.23 torque.

So right at 170hp at the wheels, I was hoping for 180, but hey still not bad. I've got penty more things I am going to do to it. The car was pretty lean above 5500rpm and even leaner when I bypassed the wastegate, so that tells me that makking it richer will make a little more power, so I think I am going to get some celica gts injectors and a MWR fuel pump.

There is a printout of my dyno sheet on page 3 of my cardomain page if you want to see the great torque curve.

making it richer will make if safer which is good but it wont make more power you will lose power... you may lose 5 hp depending how lean you were.

our cars and cars in general make a lot more power when they run lean... however you can also damage your motor from running too lean so you may have to expect hp from from making it richer

that site just shows how their sensor reads.... also on the leaner pull was the car hotter?

When I did dyno pulls since there is no air cooling it down but a crappy fan my last run we waited a few mins extra and I gained 5hp power just because we did soo many straight runs...

Also he could have ended the run early on the leaner run... or maybe it did make power... i guess if you were insanely lean...

typically though more power is made when its lean (although unsafe)

there may be a point when your so lean you lose power but that I dont know...

Either way the gts injectors and well the fuel pump isnt really needed but a piggy back or engine management system will be needed to control those injectors

    keep us posted though

running leaner also means you are running hotter which is why you lose HP. The key is water injection or some sort of cooling system. With the TRD s/c you need to lean out the fuel mixture and have WI to compensate for the added heat, resulting in big numbers.

The 5th injector acts as a cooler by spraying into the blower itself. Thats why its set to run rich from the factory.
