Dyno'd my car today - 1zz-fe underrated indeed.

Don't know if this is old news or not, but I got some undeniable proof today that the 1zz-fe is underrated by toyota for the corolla.

I don't have the actual dyno sheets up yet, since I don't have a scanner - but the best pulls were 122.5hp @ 6300 rpm and 118.8 lb/ft of tq at 4300 rpm

assuming the typical 12-15% drivetrain loss, that puts my engine at 140-147hp and 135-140 lb/ft torque @ the flywheel.

I'm quite happy with this - it's a decent baseline run, and now I'll know what, if any, are my gains from future mods. I predicted 120 - and my first run was exactly 120.1 lol. 2nd was a 4th gear run - dont do 4th gear dyno runs lol trust me.

What happened on 4th gear run?

i have an automatic,

i ran a dyno before i modify anything on my car and it came out about 104whp.. automatic nomally losses about 30% hp from the drivetrain.. soo..if you caculate, the engine actully produce about 135hp stock..

either way, a few more horses than advertised....

Lucky us lol, id rather have 50 more hp then advertised though. Haha cant have everything.
