dull headlight covers?

    dull headlight covers?

    i have an old civic with dull headlight covers. does anyone know of way to make them clear again?

    toothpaste or 1000->2000 wet sand paper.

    Meguiars makes a product called Plastix which has worked really well on every car Ive tried.

    Depending on the composition of the lens, it could be yellowed "through and through" by exposure to ultraviolet light-- in which case the lenses can be polished up and glossy, but still clouded and yellowed.

    Hopefully the yellowing is only superficial, and that a good polishing will clear it up.
