Dual Exhaust System for 98 Corolla?

Is it possible to do a conversion on a 1998 Corolla exhaust system to a Dual exhaust system?

You can have a 2 muffler set up, but not a true dual exhaust. But there is no need for one on a 4 cylander car.

All you need is a second muffler that looks like the first, some pipe and a Y-Pipe or splitter and some hangers and having a good exhaust shop.

    Piping is different

You can always buy a muffler with a single inlet and dual outlets and then run the pipes off of this. But this is cosmetic only, not a true dual

You're just adding weight to your car by putting 2 mufflers.
You're also killing your engines low end. Your car will be so fricking flat during take off, you'll sound like a week wacker reving to death just to get to 30mph.

So you ran your car without an exhaust manifold? Sounds like a dying dog.

when the o2 sensor is wired up but not plugged into the exhaust manifold, it is reading very lean mixtures because it's just hanging there, which can, in long term, damage your engine

but if you're flooring it anyways, the ecu is reading in open loop, which does not take signal from the o2 sensor to determine how much fuel to inject
