    Doom

Went and saw this Saturday night with Denver Rolla...talk about the perfect film version of this game.

It had everything I possibly could have wanted from the series, including ID Games logos hidden all over the place...just enough story line to call it a movie...but nothing more than that. No pointless secret love story...just a great all and all movie.

    I highly reccommend it.

I saw it and I thought it was pretty good for being a sci-fi type flick.

the movie had to do with reanimating dead bodies, rather than having the gates of hell open...COMPLETELY different from the story.

the only things they did that were true-to-form were the creatures, the uniforms, and the guns. everything else was a load of doggy doo.

    ...I almost can't believe what I'm hearing...

    :p

Think about the premise of doom. Destruction, wild looking critters and more destruction. I walked into that movie, looking for just that. And it's exactly what I got out of it.

All I needed out of that movie was a lot of senseless gore and destruction...with the location as mars.

You have to compact a story like Doom down into a movie length version. If you go into the detail of the gates of hell, the archealogical dig from 3 and all the other wild supernatural stuff...you'd have a clone of Fantastic Four. 135 minutes of story-line and 10 minutes of action.

Don't think I'm ripping you guys, you are all entitled to your opinion, I just believe you can't worry about a "story-line" in a movie like that.

    :D
