Does your rear view mirror rattle? Any solution?

My rear view mirror buzzes when deep bass hits. I need to adjust it pretty often but it doesn't really solve the rattling problem.

I want to take the rear view mirror off and sound deaden inside the mirror. Do you think it will help? and how to take off the mirror? Anyone?

I don't have any mods, especially stereo related ones (as they seem to attract stereo thieves), but I can relate with your problem. Back in May '03 when I first started browsing here, someone said that they had removed the mirror and installed a tighter-fitting ball-n-socket washer to tighten the mirror. I'm sure if someone has the time to search thru the archives they'll be able to find that mod.

The mirror itself rattles. WHen I hold it tight, the noise dissapear. I think it's causing by the mirror and the black trim around it, and I'll try to take it apart and stuff something inside. Maybe that will help?

I dont think putting sound deading stuff inside the mirror will do anything at all. The vibrations are going from the windshield and then into the mirror. The thing that would really fix it is to tighten the ball joints that connect the mirror to the windshield somehow, then it will be too stiff for the bass to rattel it loose.
