What wrong with everyone english? :p

A halfshaft is what it is. Just remanufactured from OE. It really doesn't matter what brand. What matters is the WARRANTY. I don't know if you have carquest there or any affiliates. They offer a lifetime warranty on alot of their parts. I just replaced my CV driveshaft because the boot split open. It's much less trouble to buy a new shaft and replace it than to take the whole joint and boot apart. You'll be supporting recycled parts if you return your core. My shaft cost me about $85. The core charge was $106.

    * If your having someone do it, make sure the shop isn't charging you for the core as well as the part. Some people do that, and they are ripping you off.

So you may pay about $271 CAD for the part (including core charge). Then when you return your old shaft you'll get $131 CAD back in your pocket. It shouldn't take more than an hour and a half TOPS for replacement of BOTH sides. I don't really know the economy over your way, but $541 CAD sounds kinda high. You could do it yourself, it's not too difficult.

    Good luck!
