don't know about thoses. not really sure about the ignition system for these cars. i've been looking at directhits.com. i ordered a kit for my 01. i checked for the 03 but it just shows a kit for the 1zz-fe. probly the same though. i'll post results about the kit when i get it in a week.

They are. All 1ZZ-FE engines are distributorless - spark is entirely controlled by the ECU. However, the 03 models came with independent coils for each cylinder. Coil pack actually sits over each spark plug and delivers the spark independently. No spark plug wires at all.

I know that 98-99 models (not sure about 00-02) are distributorless, but only have 2 coil packs (waste spark system). Each coil supplies two cylinders with a spark, rather than one coil for each cylinder.
