    DIY Maintainence?

When you go to buy a car it's always nice to see records of required mainainence such as oil changes, tune ups, etc. but what do you do when YOU do the work? I'm sure a lot of people on here have run into this but it's never really talked about. When people give advice into looking at cars they always mention to check the records. How much does it hurt the seller to say "I've done all the work myself" assuming you don't know the person?

i do the same as mentioned above and i just show them my certificate if they ask like at the dealer since i do maintence myself. I show it to them and they don't give me any hassle.I show it to them so i don't void vehicle warranty.

you can keep a log with milage and parts bought (fluids, filters, etc.) and date and any notes.

keep a small book in the glove box or keep the log in the garage.

i plan to make a little print-out with boxes to fill in so it looks nice. :D

yeah i do most of the work myself.

I haven't sold a car yet..rarely keep receipts - I think I have one for my flywheel and exhaust..that's about it.

i don't really think it is that important because you can tell when a car has been taken care of if you know what to look for.
