    DIY Front Speakers

I was just taking a look at the DIY front speakers. I'm looking to upgrade the entire stock system. To my best knowlege we have 7" speakers in the front. But according to the DIY you leave the bracket and it will fit a 6.5" prefectly? I just want to make sure. I don't want to buy 7" speakers and have it not fit. I'm planning on doing this myself... so I should buy 6.5" right?

It really depends. Some 6.5" is bigger and some is smaller. The safest bet is to a ring-shape template out of MDF wood and mount the speakers on it.

    See my cardomain, page 6.

    I did it with a 6.5" speaker.

I chissled out notches for the tabs of the speaker, and then screwed it into the plascit. worked fine for me with no vibration.
