    DIY FOR REPLACING TAILLIGHTS???

shouldn't there be a DIY for replacing taillights??
Or is it a very simple, straight-forward modification thats why its not on the DIY list?
    Thanks...

Yea....very simple. Just pull out the plastic nails holding the inner cover in your trunk, unscrew the nuts, carefully remove the bulb with harnest wires off the tail lights, and pull out the tail lights. Repeate the process backwards with the new tail lights.

Oh yea...be carefull screwing on the tail lights on the trunk because it could fall inside the trunk door. If this happens, get a magnet to pull it out. Be sure to test out the lights with your done so that the correct bulbs are where they are suppost to be.

Does anyone know the correct way to pull out those plastic screws that hold down the interior lining of the trunk? I don't want to just pull it out and ruin it. I want to be able to screw it back in tight like original.

I haven't installed the taillights yet, but once i get this plastic screwed thing figured out, I'm ordering a pair. Also, which web site is a good place to get one?

yeah if you dont have a wide selection of tools you can just use a fork or somthin like it so that it will pull it up from both sides

just to add to whats been said, i actually broke those plastic anchors pulling off the trunk lights. when i went to toyota to buy replacement anchors, they couldnt find the part number or even the part itself in their computer. toyota said i would probably have to buy the entire light assembly to get the anchor itlself, or my tail lights would rattle. well they were full of shit, i put it back on with just the bolts and no anchors, and i have no rattle. when i put my subs in, that might be a different story. but until then dont worry about those anchors.
