DIY for removing Factory Radio for 2003 Corolla

    DIY for removing Factory Radio for 2003 Corolla

    I will post up a diy for removing tha factory headunit in tha diy section of www.vvt-i.net

    this was a diy posted by Meth word for word back on C3 :D

    Oh wow, can't believe that is still around. That method works pretty good if you just wanna pull off the faceplate, or use the stock bracket... but if you wanna use a dash kit its best if you use the method:


    1. Remove the center knob from the A/C controls and remove the phillips screw behind it
    2. Remove the trim around the shift
    3. Remove the 2 phillips screws below the lower pocket
    4. Remove the A/C controls and pockets... start with the bottom and work your way up
    5. Remove the vents and the faceplate from the bottom.
    6. Disconnect the ribbon cable connecting the faceplate to the radio.
    7. Remove the 4 10mm bolts below the stock double din radio.
    8. Install a new stereo using a dash kit and wire harness.
