    Discount Tire Direct Saga

So I ordered these rims in 17 inch:

[IMG] which is an exclusive to DTD. The website says that the stock is good in Ohio. I get an email two days later saying that they are on backorder for 2-4 weeks, and that they will be delivered to my door within 4 weeks.

2 days later I get an email saying that they have shipped from Dallas. So Im happy. Then Bud with DTD calls me tonight, telling me that it was a mistake. That it would be at least 90 days until they were back in stock.

    So I decided on these:

in the anthracite machined finish with polished lip. Hopefully they will look like the finish on the MM2s (the first rim)

The only thing Im not too sure about is the fact that the Enkeis on the bottom dont have the lip that the ones on the top have.

They are shipping them to me overnight, free of charge, and mounting and balancing was free because of the mistakes that were made. Im going to install them, and if I dont like em, Im selling them immediately. Theyll go quick on the passat boards. Then my hunt will begin again!

If I dont like em, Im going to order these from Wheelmax

And then have the falkens on the enkeis dismounted and installed on the above wheel.

Id go 18s in a heartbeat if I didnt have to drive so far to work every day. Im thinking the 2nd set of enkeis shown will look decent on the car.

looks like a new hood, or a piece was added on the side (look at the wagon, then the other one, right above the light.

Theyre boser hoods....completely new hood, or you could go through the entire process of getting an extension and welding, etc.

Boser Hood is on my list.

The wagon doesnt have a boser hood...it has eyelids on the headlights.

if Eric hadn't explained, i'd say it looks like hand-welded eyelids. a friend of mine has them on her Sunfire - it looks pretty badass.
