disc brake coversion for KE11

    wow.

    first of all, welcome to the forum. i can't say too many people around here would know much about the older generations of corolla...most of us have corollas from somewhere in the late 80s to the present. have you tried toyotanation.com?

    disc brake coversion for KE11

    Hi guys, I have a 1970 ke11 corolla, and im wanting to do a disc brake coversion for my car, been looking around but im not having much success, so if someone could give me some advice on how to do it etc id appreciate greatly.

    Thanks, Yeh ive tried toyota nation, nothing there either, its a great little car but is it a pain to get parts and modify it, I need this disc brak conversion so i can put a 4AGZE in it, or in a year or so time a 12A rotary, got sum plans for it its just the matter of being able to do it.

    don't go with a 12a...it's a very squirrely motor compared to the 13b. i've worked with both, rebuilt both(with friends), and i prefer the 13b. even the n/a 13b is sturdier than the 12a.


    quick question, though...where are you located?

    Yeh still not sure, my brother is a rotary nut so am i lol, and we were talking about it aswell, either was gona go with a 12 or a 13B decomp, at the moment im just zinging off ideas, see which one will work the best. havent had it long so i dont really no where to take the rolla to get all this fitted etc. I live in adelaide.

    adelaide...ok. i meant what state. ;)

    just speaking from experience on the rotary...you won't want the 12a...heh.

    LOL alright then. So have ya got ne ideas off how i go about getting this brake conversion? and also im looking at putting a 5 speed gearbox in it 2, we have looked about and found that a 83-84 corolla 5 speed should bolt on, not too sure so if u have ne ideas experience with it let me no please. Cheers
