    Differences between coilovers and springs??

i am planning to drop my car soon, but only about 1.5".....nothing too low! i'm debating over Eibach pro-kit or H&R Sport Spring Set, both give about a 1.3" drop all around. now reading about coilovers, i'm confused.

i definitely want a set of the KYB GR-2.

Coilovers are going to give you an adjustability factor, in that you can raise and lower your car manually when ever you want. Coilovers are going to be a stiffer ride, and you will pretty much fill every dip and uneven aspect of the road. Coilovers will give you more information about the surface that you are driving on persay. Springs are a lot softer, and slightly a little more comfortable of a ride. However, if you have a 1995 Rolla like me, I have the tilt towards the rear effect because I went with springs instead of coilovers this time around. But now I regret it. I would have rather had coilovers because even though the spring drop is even all the way round, the car looks like it's higher in the front. Hope this helps..

That's what I plan on buying, just not for that price. They are cheaper than that.

your ride will look like its leanin' back if u get a set of springs that are the same drop all around. I had teins on my rolla. The ride was koo but the rear was still lower than the front.

Get GC coilovers and a good set of struts. Since you dont have very many choices on drops.

Rite now on my civic i run H&R Race Springs (2.5" drop about) wit stock shocks and 205/40/16 tires. My ride is harsh but thats how i like it. Girls complain every time they're rollin wit me. H&R makes good shit...rite now i dont even feel the need to upgrade my shocks...but i will have to soon.

ive had teins and eibach... I like the look of the tiens.. if you have a system though the eibachs are a little better... im swapping the eibachs back into the rear and just keep the front teins I like the look but the ride is horrible compared to the eibachs.... (although I need an alignment too)

i want to go with the eibachs.....kinda short on cash for coilovers, but i do want a little more aggressive look so i think i have to go with something like a 2" drop....would i need to get a camber kit? i heard camber kits are only needed for a 2" or more drop? what bout the shocks and struts, would it be alright to use the stocks that i have on it already? or do i have to change them?

hey lekz....r you still using stock shocks and struts? for how long have you been using them now? around how much were your springs?
