I think it's supposed to insulate the header, keeping the air moving and also keeping heat from escaping into the rest of the engine bay.

wouldnt header wrap make your engine bay hotter? it's supposed to let trhe header reach higher temperatures so exhaust gases stay HOT and moving fast!!

btw:: sweet engine bay, that's ridiculously clean!!

thnx for all the comments guys....i got the only clamps they had a home depot=so im almost positive they are stainless...and hookeduprolla, thanx to you, i got all i needed from summit racing-they are THE BEST! unbelievable customer service... as far as the temps, its a "little" cooler-not as much as i wouldve hoped...but it's the best you can do to block out the heat the header gives off...oh well, im happy

    D,

Did you get the ceramic coated header? I got one too. I haven't put it on yet, but I was wondering what kind of temp you were looking at with the wraps.

its ceramic coated..thats the only one i could afford anyway-but its still pretty damn hot, not as much though as b/f, but still-you might not wanna go through the pain and misery of the wrapping process! it kills your back! unless of course you have someone else do it...

Looks good but why didn't you tighten the clamps so they matched-like in the same position? That would have looked a lot better...But you did good!
