    denso iridium ik22 ik20 spark plugs p0302

i had my engine check light on... twice... once it just flashed for 10 secs and went away... 2nd time stay lit when i was racing a tiberon.

i went to autozone and used their scanner...

    i got the code...

    P0302 - cylinder 2 misfire detected 1 of 2

    P0302 - cylinder 2 misfire detected 2 of 2

i was told to change my plugs to colder ones... actually... i was told to do so a long time ago... but never did... car felt fine even with the engine check light on....

so i went online shopping for plugs and do a lil research on them...

for myself... i bought the ik22s and for my friend, stock corolla... she is using ik20s.

40 bucks per car, total of 80 bucks for the both of us...

took about 30 min. for each car... pretty simple stuff... and be sure to use some anti sieze lube.... cuz the plugs on my car were pretty siezed up...

i wasnt too sure how much to tighten it... but i just tighten by hand... and then use a rachet and tighten it...

on my turboed car... it pulls harder on the upper rpm... not sure if its smoother... but i notice a difference...

on the stock corolla... it idles smoother, shifts smoother, and 0-50 is faster....

    left to rite...
stock plugs - 25k miles on turbo corolla
stock plugs - 26k mikes on stock corolla
    and denso ird. ik22

    why are you using IK22???

    stock corolla uses IK16....
i hope you know that IK22 is for superchared or Turbocharged cars..
which means if you don't have any force induction in your car and you use IK22..
you might have more problems later on..
