    Dash LEDs - Progress

Well, so far I've replaced my shifter bulb with three blue LEDs.

Sorry, no pics because I don't have a digital camera anymore. But, with simple 2.8-3.8V 4000mcd@20mA Blue LEDs, I was able to wire 3 in series with a 100ohm resistor to run in our vehicle. 1 of these LEDs will run with a 470ohm resistor.

BTW, the way I installed them under the shifter.

Took the glass bulb out and clipped the leads off it. Soldered 3 blue LEDs togther with one resistor and hot glued the LEDs to the top of the bulb. Then, wrapped the LED wires under the bulb where the glass bulb's leads used to be.

It looks awsome, espically at night. All the letters are nice and blue except the R which is slightly purple.

I plan on probably tomorrow doing the rest of the dash. I'm gonna use some left over computer plugs to make my life easier in wiring all the crap.

Once again, sorry I don't have any pics. I'll work on getting those.

Well I got them all installed. And they all worked, besides some minor aiming issues which I can address in the next week or so here when I get my new stereo system, it's all good.

I'll take pics when I get EVERYTHING installed. That way I only have to borrow a camera once.
