damn steelies wont come off

    damn steelies wont come off

    i wanted to rotate my tires myself, but the damn steelies wont come off... and yeah, i'm pretty sure that i took the lug nuts off... i tried hitting the wheels with a hammer to loosen it up, still it wont come off... help please...

    Im serious dude put some stands under it and get your nehbors pesky brat to get under there and kick it off. im sorry that was mean umm just it it form the back on the tire and spin it and do it again untill it comes off. It will eventually come loose.

    Put the lugs on but not super tight and drive back and forth. Rubber mallot. Put a ring of grease around the inside hole and it won't happen again.

    :D I think the problem is you're trying to take out the wheel from a single end, which ends up you're trying to bend the wheel rather than removing it from the lugs. It's a far fetch, but just hold the wheel up from the bottom or the sides, and just slowly nudge it out.

    Of course if I'm wrong about that too, then I don't know what's keeping you. I'd try some WD-40 on the lugs, but that just might make it loose afterwards.

    It's happened to me.

    Let me guess..is it the rear wheels? My fronts came off alright, but the back ones were rusted to the drum. A (big) friend of mine ended up prying them off with something..after liberal application of WD40. They eventually came off.

    If you really can't do it, go pay 20 bucks and get your tires rotated at a shop. That should fix it. :p

    i'll try it when its not cold outside no more... damn chicago weather... oh btw, all of the tires were stuck... i have no clue how this happened... i havent removed the tires since i got it from the dealer...
