damn, no more A/C, my fault, need help!

so, i have a 97 corolla DX. looking at the engine, the left radiator support needed to be replaced, well it didn't need to be replaced, but i wanted to repaint the support because it was rusting. i got out the left support, it's just held in with one bolt. but, since my corolla has the crappiest fasteners in it, i snapped the head off the bolt. i didn't think much of it and i drove it like this for over a year, with only one radiator support on the top.

so, i'm looking to sell the car now, so i figured i might want to put that support back on. so, i started to drill out the old snapped out bolt. things went ok, then i needed to enlarge the hole a little. well....i pressed the drill down hard and ended up knicking the A/C radiator....holy hell. it sprayed right up in the air. i ran the hell out of the garage! i thought it was going to ignite and explode! well, it sprayed out for about a minute. i walked inside, telling my dad, sheepishly...man, this is bad news!!!

i made the dumbass mistake of not taking note of the a/c radiator before i began drilling...dammit i'm dumb.

so, i guess i can't use my a/c because it will destroy the compressor. i'm wondering if it's fixable at all. it's just a tiny little hole on the top of the fins of the radiator. i'm pretty sure it's called a condensor. dang, i don't want to put any money into this car, i just want to get rid of it already! maybe i can just sell it with the way it is and let them know that the a/c wont work
let me know what you think i should do

the a/c system works at high compression so I'd say you could try welding the part back together and then recharge the system with oil & refrigerant. If that doesn't hold pressure or you don't want to do that..you'll need a new part.

How much does it cost to replace the compressor? Mine has a leak and some guy at Jiffy Lube told me it would be $800 to replace.

you could probably get it out of a junk yard. The "a/c radiator" is better known as the condenser

well, i pulled out the button for the a/c, it just slides out of the console. i'll call soon to get an estimate. i was told by a friend that they may just be able to spot weld or solder the defect i caused. then pressure test and refill the system

just get a new condensor and your fixed. any ac compressor wont run if the pressure switch doesnt detect any freon.

i'm going to call on monday and see if i can just walk in with my condensor. hopefully they can patch it, then i'll stop at walmart or something and get some freon. install the condensor, refill the system and hope for no leaks. and fix that dam radiator bracket!

this is good because i need to drain and refill the radiator. i have a question:
when i totally take out the radiator to get to the condensor, will my automatic tranny fluid spill out all over the place?
