Dad shot dead in Craigslist deal in front of family

What happened was really horrible, but it could have been prevented. He was just too trusting and even held the meeting at his home. When answering to an ad or posting on craigslist, it advised everyone to meet in a public area where people are present in case anything should happen. I think Ebay would have been the best option to avoid all of this.

Can you say stereotypical racist bastard?? you seriously need to stop running your mouth all the time like that... those people are just retards that made a horrible choice, just like when the kkk existed and the kkk werent immigrants so seriously cool it with the racist remarks.. its not funny when you call me a nigger.... its okay to joke around but its not okay specifically pin point things like that.. you are attaching something like crime to a race, and im worried that people that think like that will make me look bad.. i was born and raised an american citizen but with stereo types like that, people call me mexican worry that i will steal their shit.. like seriously. there are so many reasons why people could be like that. and its not just immigrants.. and no one say im over reacting.

you're over reacting. just because you're mexican doesn't mean people will think you will "steal their shit". it's all how you carry yourself and stereotypes are there for a reason... because they're true. the kkk still exists, they're just keeping it low key now.

that reminds me of this time i was going through an old year book from the great grandfather who went to school somewhere on the east coast....i cant recall where....and the KKK had a student organization and they all lined up for a picture just as you would on the football team or something. It was kinda spooky. Just said Ku Klux Klan, and had a bunch of clean cut looking young men....was spooky...

    anyway. back on topic now.

I agree, i thought it was standard practice to never bring people to your house, it was a bad call on his end.

there are these things called firearms, they are used in case of emergency. you know they never tell you to go alone to these deals....and i dont go alone. I take my m&p .40 with me, i call her Martha Penbrooke. I hear of people getting ripped off and killed from craigslist and face to face deals, so you're damn right im going to be carrying a gun on me when i meet someone. Just because you carry it doesnt mean you have to use it...some cops will go 20 years without ever using their firearm on duty, likewise, ccw holders will very unlikely have to use it. and if you have a big fuck off shiny gun on your hip it deters people from wanting to rip you off.
