    Crazy Alaskans...

Here's some pictures from our trip out to the Chatanika Lodge for "Chatanika Days". They've got an outhouse race, pool tournament, snowmachine (mobile) tug of war, a bunch of food and alchohol. I made the trophies for this years competitions. This is the first time I've been there. It was fun... Interesting...

When the Lowe's store had their grand opening, they had to buy a bunch of materials from Home Depot so their store would be fully stocked for opening day... haha

    Yeah... Small town...

Yeah Vortex, I've been here for 4 years, last year I was still adjusting to it... I'm calibrated for this region now. I think I could slip back into the east coast rhythm with a balanced day and night easily... and willingly. :)

Hah! It's not quite $2,000 a year. It was for one or two years. Last year it was $919.84.
Still free money. :) It's based on an average of oil revenues from the past few years. We got hit hard with the war and stock market...

The site will tell you alot about the Permanent Fund Dividend.

Yeah, it's cold up here. You probably wouldn't like -60 below zero and 20 hours of darkness a day. BUT, summers up here are awesome, up to 24 hours sunlight, it's warm, and so much stuff to do outdoors.
