Go to www.ptuning.com and get the Injen CAI for the 2004 matrix XRS. I just got mine from them, only took 3 days to get here and they helped me with the install.

The intake fit like a glove, the only difference between the trix and the corolla XRS is there is a 3/8" diameter pipe hanging off of the CAI tube, you need to plug that with a rubber endcap that you can buy at any autoparts store. The instructions that came with it were garbage though, there is a nice sticky with instructions and pictures at www.9thgencorolla.com under the 2ZZ section.

My car runs great with no CEL, I highly recomend that you buy the 2004 matrix XRS Injen CAI. Good luck

The injen has been dyno proven to be very successful in the XRS. AEM makes some real good intakes none the less. It's a tough call, I have the cosmo racing cold air in my XRS and I love it, in all truth a cold air is a cold air, as long as they are a trusted brand there is going to be minimal horsepower differences between them.
