I was playing around on the Net and came accross this badass website.

It teaches you how to build something called a bingofuel reactor which seperates hydrogen from water without a catalyst chemical. You just need good old fashion power to seperate the gas from the water. Now someone just needs to post a DIY to convert your car to run with this Now we can use the garden hose as instead of the gas station

It's like one of those high school chemistry experiments where you separate water into oxygen and hydrogen....but this one claims that the proccess will produce a mixture of carbon monoxide and hydrogen and when you burn this in an internal combustion engine the output would be carbon dioxide and water vapor.

Here's my question....if this comes from regular tap water...where does the carbon come from?

Those are the byproducts of using gasoline in an internal combustion engine (if the mixure burned perfectly), so I don't get the point.

BTW people, at this point in the game hydrogen will NOT be used in engines. What to know why? While using hydrogen to reduce vehicle emissions is all well and good, a lot of electricity is needed in order to produce the hydrogen. And the biggest production of electricity in the US is by what? Burning coal to heat steam! So in order to make the hydrogen you need to burn more coal which pollutes the atmosphere even worse. So first the electricity production infrastructure has to be improved many times over using better equipment like solar, water, and wind energy.

^^^ are you suggesting that the temps are high enough to either perform fission on the oxygen atoms to strip off 2 protons and create carbon, that they are high enough to start a fusion reaction among the hydrogen atoms?

you wouldn't think a 12v and a glass jar could accomplish something like that

Don't forget the AMPS. 1 volt at 3000 amps is still pretty deadly and requires a large power source
