Why would you want to do that?

The easiest possible way would be to just install it inline with the regular remote wire...however, that means that the Amp will turn on so long as both the deck and the switch are enabled
    Code:
    ....| / |
    Deck|---./ .---|Amp
    ....| |

I do believe the remote wire is just a regular 12v wire if you don't want to rely on the deck like that, but that's where I'm a bit cloudy.

I'm assuming you have a decent amount of electronics knowledge....

if not, ./ . signifies an on/off switch.

here is what you can do

what you could do is disconnet the remote wire from the amp that is coming from the radio. Then take the swith that you have and hook up the positive to the positive of the amp and then take the negative to the negative of the amp. I have a switch to control mine off and on but i didnt change the head unit. I still have stock. So it was easy for me to do it. There is no need for the remote part on the amp if you are using a switch. Holla back if you have questions.

What you need to do is run the remote wire in your car then connect it from the switch to the amp. then on the other end of the switch get some extra wire and run it from your switch to the headunit. Without the remote wire the amp will not turn on. I did this in one of my previous cars so that when i went into parking lots or neighborhoods at night i could turn off my sub/amp so it wouldn't be loud and piss anyone off. If you need anymore help just ask.
