    Component Amp

what would be a good amp for 100rms rockfordfosgate components, and 6 X9's, both at 100rms? my budgets about 500 dollars, just want to know what i should buy to maximize the power of the components and the 6X9's. im not sure what amp's are better... the rockfordfosgate, kicker, alpine, phoneix, or kenwood. thanks.

From the amps you mentioed, I'd go with Alpine or Phoneix. From the models oyu didn't mention, I'd go with USamps.

In terms of Model numbers, Alpine has the MRV-F340 or the cheaper line MRP-F240.

Phoenix Gold - Never tried them, but heard they are good amps, Model XENON 100.4 or 200.4 should do the trick

USamp - Love these amps.... kind of pricey though.... Power is always underrated. Model USA-4300X is nice.

Couple of things to consider though.... You don't need to run a 100 watts RMS into each speaker, just because that's what it's rated at. Secondly you can save some money by getting a 2 channel amp and (assuming each speaker is 4 ohm) you can hook up the left side in parallel, and then the right, to get more power out of the amp running at 2 ohm.

I prefer going with a 4 channel amp, because you can control front/rear fade along with the balance. It also gives you more options down the road.

yeah that sounds cool, i was thinking of the mrv-540... I wanted to get the P8004 from Rockford but i've been hearing mixed reviews from people, even though their power is very under-rated, ive heard their sensative... also would you guys recommend dynomating anything such as my trunk, door panels, back by the rear speakers?? or no. i dont have any subs, but do u think my car would still rattle with 4 100rms speakers???

Dynamating the doors wouldn't be a bad idea. Don't worry about the rear deck though. The 540 looks like a really good amp. Go for it.

In terms of price, fosgate is really good, but like you, I have heard some good things and a lot of bad things about fosgate.... the newer stuff anyway. I have never owned any of their products so it's just speculation on my part.
