your color code will be inside the doorjamb, on the label.

silver looks good next to dark blue.

I don't harbor any ill will but isn't dressing up and painting your engine compartment kinda ricy? I left everything stock colored except for the aftermarket parts I put in that were already colored. It looks cleaner that way. Just my 2 cents.

"ricey" has to do with the starch product, not personal style on a car. if he wants to do it, who are we to tell him not to?

again, that's in the eye of the beholder. to be quite frank, if it's painted properly(no bad lines, correct paint so it doesn't melt off), i feel it CAN look decent. what you might find "tacky" looks good to someone else. it's his car, why criticise?

i used to do that - criticise people for what they'd do to their cars - but i gave up when i realized that it was nothing more than a waste of energy and an insult to both myself and the other person. if he decides he doesn't like it, he can change it - there's no one saying he can't. better to do it and find out you don't like it than not do it and wonder.

well everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I too took my cover off because I just thought it looked cooler when I can actually see the engine. oh well.

My car is saphire black. I like it a lot. I did the front end conversion so the front needs a paint job. Should I get it done professionally? or you think I should use my friends compressor and paint it myself. How much would an average price to paint the front end cost? (bumper, front fenders, hood)

get it done professionally. and not like at macco if that even exists. for the bumper frender and hood you'll probably be looking at 700dollars I think. maybe a bit less depending on who you go to. best thing to do is to sand it and prime it yourself and take the parts to the pain shop so they can just paint and clearcoat it. if you do that you'll get it done for much cheaper.

cheap paints, you'll see way too many flaws plus they dont last long. a few years and your paint job will look like shit.
