    College Football Season...

...only a week away. Although some teams will be playing Thursday, most will be playing on Saturday, the 4th.
    So, who you pulling for?
The ACC seems stronger this year with the addition of BC. Can't believe NCState has VT as season opener...oh, well atleast we beat em last year.
Overall, I think USC still owns.....

I also used to root for PSU...lets just say, someone I knew went there and leave it at that....
Gotta admit, Joe Pa is a legend...although looks like he might not last longer past this season...

he should've retired at his peak...but who could've thought that they'd go down so hard so fast...
btw, whatever happened to Larry Johnson? Don't here much of him in the NFL....

581 yards last season for the chiefs...almost 300 receiving yards....not bad for beign behind Priest Holmes.

If holmes gets hurt earlier this season (I hope not, cuz I have him in my fantasy league), johnson should get more ball time

Oh, and he had a 97 yard run agaisnt the seahawks last night

yea yea, dont bring back that USC game, that was the most upsetting day, lol....USC played a much better and faster game than we did that day....i will admit that USC played better but they arent 55-19 better cuz i know OU couldve done way way better than that....there were just way too many freakin turnovers in that game...

newayz about the sooner thing, i kno this only cuz of the required Oklahoma History classes in high school....a sooner refers to the time back when western expansion was in growing popularity. They would have organized land runs where they would let people from the east run out and "stake their claim" of land....basically like that one car commerical where all those people run out to a car and go "dibs!".....but the only thing with these land runs was the fact that they wouldnt allow people to leave early to scope out the best place to stake their claim....anyways, a sooner is a person who left before (or sooner, if you will) the land runs were suppose to take place and staked their claim before everyone else....

no pride in pro sports...just my opinion...
a college coach once said "college sports is all about the name on the front of your jersey not the one on the back of it." Can't remember who said it though.....

ya kno, thats so sad cuz its so true....but...ive always looked at it this way, relating pro and college football to tv....nfl seems like a tv show with reruns....college ball is like a show with brand new episodes...theres always fresh talent in and out of college ball and ncaa players seem to refresh quicker than in the nfl where if youre well known in the nfl, you'll probably start every year until you retire from the nfl...
