    Clutch Went South.........

Well I havn't posted here in a while but I could use some input on this... I Burned up the clutch in my '04 corolla S and I know its gonna need a flywheel too. I priced up all the parts today at work and it's gonna run me $305.00 including the flywheel. The question is I'm not shure I wanna go with factory or performance... The car is an every-day driver and I could use some input from others to see what you guys are running....

hehe yeah, if you smoked a stock clutch i'd recommend highly going to a beefier clutch and flywheel system. :)

i'm running a fidanza flywheel w/ a spec stage 2 clutch. the spec is a pretty decent clutch for the price. i'm moving to try an RPS clutch next when i replace my tranny.

a heavier flywheel is usually easier to use.. if it's daily driving I might get a stronger clutch and a close to stock weight flywheel

    Thanx for the input...

The reason for the pre-mature wear was due to me letting the sister-in-law learn stick in the car......

I have a Fidanza 8.5lb aluminum flywheel with ACT 60% O/S pressure plate. It makes the pedal a little harder to push to the floor but the engagement is really nice. Oh yeah, I use a regular street disc. However beware of the torque spec for the pressure plate. If you over torque the presure plate sometimes the clutch will stick and you'll have to do some rally burnouts to get it to fully disengage :)
