    clutch selection

im looking for a clutch for the my 4afe, just found out that after my dad drove it for 4 days, pretty much screwed up the clutch... it slips up the ass like u wont believe.... i need one that will last because my bro bought a corolla shell and ima give him my 4afe after the 4age swap...

i found f1racing clutches pretty cheap for a stage 1 or 2...exedy is good, act is as well but a big heavy on my pocket... lol

any suggestions guys on a good clutch besides OEM, i would appreciate it...

    thanks

Go Exedy for the price plus they are good. I have ACT HD pressure plate and street disk for my 94 and its good. I would have gone with Exedy but I ordered the street disk thinking that my old ACT pressure plate was still good. When i finally took out the pressure plate was scored badly so that why i didn't get Exedy, which would have save me around 60 bux. Don't go with F1 ebay stuff I read around a lot of other forum and from what ive been reading it is some shitty clutch.

you only need a Exedy OEM if you are running at around stock power levels. No need for extra clamping load if your engine is not powerful enough to make it slip.. unless you feel like lightening your wallet for no reason but to get a extra left calf workout.

that's the kit I brought when I still had the 7AFE. I loved it!

now that I have my 20V and am planning on pushing around 200 crank HP I have a stage 1. Honestly pedal effort does not feel very different between the 2, which is good.
