    Clutch issue?

My mother told me today that the rolla is having a hard time shifting - the pedal has to be pushed hard to the floor to shift (more so than usual)..also in order to start the engine. I'm going to check the safety switch & fluid - anything else I should look for?

ACT HD clutch kit was installed nearly 40k ago.

I'd take a peek at the clutch master cylinder and release cylinder and check for leaks and such. I had the seals go bad in a relatively new clutch master cylinder and it caused the car to take off while I was holding in the clutch (quite the experience).

    You know what it was?

    ...guess.

I looked at it today. The rubber floormat had been pushed up underneath the pedal. Hah. :)

I had the factory floormats with the retaining 'clip' thing..but my mother put some rubber floormats in (much better with all this snow and mud we have this time of year)..and they don't quite fit perfectly. :p

Yea I had rubber floor mats in my car too until it got wedged up the brake pedal and I had to put the car in Netural yank the and yank the e-brake and then I have to cut it out of the car. So I am going to stay stock, new floormats are cheaper than a new car.
