Clicking noise after installing springs...plz help!

I installed TRD lowering springs onto my car with a friend.
It was an install job from hell that took us almost a day because the spring compressor was so crude and abused and we kept trying to rush it by compressing one side a bit more before compressing the other but ended up decompressing it and then recompressing all over again and doing it right.
But anyway we finally got it done and everything seemed good, despite the slight pull to the right sometimes when I am stopping. I planned to get an alignment done after a month or so of riding around and letting it settle.
But then I began to notice clicking noises everytime I went over speedbumps. I ignored it for a while thinking that it was normal. But some of my friends have lowered cars. None of them seem to be doing that and their cars are lowered even more than mine.
Is the clicking noise while going over speedbumps normal? It seems to be clicking when its rebounding after being compressed going over the bumps.
I'm just worried that something didnt get tightened enough or something during the install.
    Can anybody help me out?

yea, i think only tein stech you gotta cut the bumpstop..not sure bout htech though. i know that hotchkis comes with their own bumpstops but from what ive read,im pretty sure you wouldnt need to cut it with TRD springs

I installed TRD springs and I do not have that noise. Did you torque down everything to specs? Also check the rubber, I guess you would call it a gasket, that goes between the spring and the top of the assembly in the front two. I remember that when I was tightening everything, as I turned the top bolt (of the spring/shock assembly), it turned the top cover and the rubber gasket got out of place. That would leave a metal (spring) to metal (top cover) contact.

Am I making any sense??

Everything was torqued according to spec except the back, and I couldn't find the torque specs for any of the parts in the back so I just torqued it pretty decently until I could get a alignment and get the specs. That cover thing makes sense...I'll check it up this weekend, thanks. Just curious though, have you gotten an alignment done?

the alignment isn't that big of a deal, unless your tire wear is bad............i'd just be scared to drive my car at high speeds w/out knowing if a bolt is tight enough. Hell I torqued em to the right specs and I still not sure if my car is safe, just because I'm the one who did the work

we toruqed most of the bolts with an impact wrench so we were kinda confident they were on tight enough. i was sill a little uneasy, but its worked out all right...but i have learned a lot since then, next time its gonna be torqued to factory spec

I know exactly what you mean....Just because I'm the one who did the work on my install it I feel a bit uneasy. Even the small clicking sound gets me all paranoid. You wouldn't happen to have to correct specs for all of the rear bolts would you? I couldn't find them anywhere and I asked my dealer, they said that they don't have access to it and that I would have to go ask at an alignment shop.

Toyota has the specifications - they're in the Toyota Service Manual under Service Specifications. CorollasBest has a copy of it on his website.

Yeah, I had my alignment done about 2 weeks after I did the installation. It gives the springs some time to settle a bit (if any).
