    clearcorner headlights and warranty

Hey guys, I'm just wondering if the DIY clearcorner headlights in the "Do it Yourself" section would void the warranty or something like that. I got the car along with a 7 year warranty and I don't want to do anything to screw that up.

What else could I do that might void the warranty?

    Thx in advance.

I'm sure there's a dealership out there that'll blame clearcorners for a transmission problem. In all honesty though, I doubt they'd even notice anything. And if they do, it's not like you're messing with the lighting wiring anymore than you would during standard bulb changes.

Just be careful with taking off your bumper. Be forewarned: the bottom bolt holding the headlight is a B.I. to get out unless you take off your bumper, or at least lower it a bunch.

Remember where all those plastic screws and bolts go, and make sure to line up the bumper right and tighten everything back up when you're done. I didn't, and my bumper was popping out for a while. I finally fixed that today.

Do you know of any places that would actually do the clear cornering. I dont want to take a chance with the bumper. I dont know my car that well to take the bumper off and then reconnect everything. I know if I ask the dealership to do it they would probably charge me an arm and a leg. What do you think? Thanks.

Thank you thats really nice of you. Are you part of northeasterntuners as well? Are the clear corners legal here in NY?

If I were to do this and say I mess up the headlights for some odd reason, is it likely that I could blame this on a freak accident or malfunction? Orwould the clear corners be a dead giveaway of tampering ?

Yea I just checked up on the ones they sell on Ebay...pretty pricey...I think the DIY is the best way to go if I want to achieve the look. I just read the thread on the guy that got pulled over for havin clearcorners, hopefully thats just down south.

the only warranty i think you would void by doing this is the headlight housing warranty. they might try and blame you though if your headlights or something breaks though...depends on the dealership.

    Clear Corners legal??

I wondered if they are legal in NY too. I talked to 2 different garages and they both said directionals have to be amber/orange color. If your like me when you did the clear corners you put white bulbs in then technically they are illegal but I'm not worried about a cop noticing that. However where you may run into a problem is your yearly inspection, mines due next week. I saved the amber bulbs and I'm going to put them back in for the inspection or you could get some shop looking to make a quick buck on you. So that's how it stands in NY!!

Knowing my luck I would get pulled over for the clear corners. I have the neon undercar kit on as well now so I could just as easily get pulled over for that. I appreciate you willing to help me out I might take you up that offer.

Even with those you have never gotten pulled over. Lucky knowing me I would have gotten pulled over a dozen times.
