    clear coat questions..?

    Hi,

If im painting my corners amber with stained glass paint, ive heard that i should coat it with a few layers of clear coat.

What exactly is the 'clear coat'? can i pick it up at a crafts store or at an auto store? does it come in a can or do i have to apply it with a brush...

    Thanks for you help.

I just worked with clear today as a matter of fact. it comes in a can, and you can buy it at pepboys for like 3.99 or something of the sort. just make shure that if you have laqure under that you coat in laqur as well or what ever the other types of paint are just make shure you match them otherwise you get a nasty ripple effect that lowriders strive for.

one or two should do you...just make sure they're LIGHT and even. too much clear and it would look gunky.

also - make sure it's DRY outside when you paint. humidity is bad for painting.
