    Child overdoses on PCP

I'm sorry but if I was the parent, I'd kill someone...family friend or not.

ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- Annapolis police said an 18-month-old child overdosed on PCP after spending the day Friday in the care of a family friend.

The child's mother -- 19-year-old Shanell Smith -- reported that when she returned for the child, the child was lethargic and kept falling. Blood tests Friday night confirmed the presence of PCP.

The child was taken to Children's National Medical Center in Washington. Authorities have not released the child's gender or condition.

PCP, also called "angel dust," can raise the heart rate and blood pressure and sometimes causes hallucinations. In high doses, PCP can cause convulsions and death.
