    Check Engine Light always on....

I have a 95 corolla, had my RActive short ram intake for almost 2 years now and last week my CEL started turning on then off, then stayed on, had my car diagnosed at R&S Strauss and showed the code was 24, Air Temp Sensor problem.... the technician told me it was caused by the SRI i have... asked a Toyota Dealer for the part and told me it costs $84, so i decided not to buy it yet... i was thinking, just to be sure, let me borrow my friends air temp sensor from his corolla, and see if the CEL will go away, so i disconnected my battery for almost 10 minutes last night then connect again, put on my friends air temp sensor on my intake, then start my car, but still, the CEL is on.... i need to have my car inspected before the month ends....

so what do you think am i missing here?

Wiring. Is there a port FOR the IAT sensor on your intake, or is it just hanging loose? If just hanging, then it could have rubbed some wires or broken a connection.

yup, there is a port on my intake for the IAT sensor...

i was thinking that way too since the wire for my IAT was a bit overstretched so i would really be connected to my intake...

i guess i have to really check it....

    thanks...
