Changing the green in the dash to a white?!

I want to replace the lights inside the AC / Audio dash cuz I don't like the green. I've gone as far as removing the green rubber cover from the lights behind the AC control...it gives a nasty pale white. What I want to do is replace it so it matches the driver's control display; a bright clean white. What can I do? Can I also change the green on my CD/Cassette/Radio too?

there are lots of posts on this.

To sumarize this is what you can do.

Get glass paint and sp[ray a VERY light blue coat of paint on your bulbs. That will make them light up a white color. I am getting some LED's today to try and do it with them instead. The radio has about 30 tiny tiny green leds in it. So to change the color of that I am going to try and use just some super bright LEDS and see if I can wash the green away with it. I treid painting them blue, but it just dulled the green effect. I think with about 4 LEDS in there I can get it to light up pretty nice. I will take pics to document the whole thing for you.

The blue stained glass paint is the cheepest way to go though.

you can go and get a 12V light 1.8W light bulb. that is the specs on the bulbs acording to Toyota. They are not LED's Check out my Cardomian site for a DIY on the Lights for the entire dash.
