    Changing starter 7AFE, question

I looked in my haynes book and it seems fairly easy to replace. I know toyota wants lots money to replace it. But id rather do myself if its pretty easy. According to the book, you just undo few screws under intake manifold, and take out. Is it pretty easy from any of you that have done it?

I thought it was the clutch switch, but its the starter.

it should be two long bolts holding it into the trans (bellhousing)..... undo those and it should slide right out

schucks/checker/kragen will be open tomorrow..... so are most napa's (until 4)

in any case..... it would be easier if you remove the intake support bar.... there is one bolt on the back of the starter and there will be one on the transmission side..... then just disconnect the 2 wires going to it (make sure you disconnect your battery first!!!)
