OMG that is going to be a monster of a car. It's practically an oversized gocart.

I'm pretty sure that will put anything else on a road course to shame. Once it hits the track, it's over for just about anyone else.

Ya kno, its a great idea and all.....BUT.....doesn't cf turn into some kinda brownish looking color or something like that after a while. I dunno if that's due to sun exposure or just due to simple aging.

It's probably sun exposure. I think if they applied a few coats of red to it (kept it light, tho), the car would look even better and shouldn't start to look funky. Maybe white.... that would be nice! :D

Actually that's from the resin that is used. If it is done up correctly with UV resistant resin with a few good layers of clear coat then it would never discolor.

A few people on honda-tech have had a brown discoloration from a seibon cf hood. So does that mean seibon is cheap....or that they keep their car outside too much.

Seibon is one of the better companies but still not the best. Some manufacturers save money by using normal resins without a UV inhibitor and most companies don't clear coat.. instead they advertise a gel coat which is a fancy way of saying it's just bare resin on top of the CF. In reality all composites made in a mold has a gelcoat to aid in the demolding process.

Nice to know. So what should you look for when you're buying a carbon fiber accessory?
