That is for his intake it is connected to his air filter so forced cool air goes down it ... He suppose to MOD it out better this is just a temp thing

OMG SEX!!!! That will be my inspiration. I want that exact setup, even the paint, plus lowered on some coilovers and shaved antenna, minus low pro tires. I am still a nub driver and I want the tires to be wider than the wheels in the event I hit a curb.

20 valve is the route for high comp, built internals, and N/A.
    (cough* initial D *cough)

I would say thats a good setup, but that might require a lot of $$$ and rebuilding time. It might also be hard to keep up with the slightly built ls-vtec's, or GSR's with stock top and bottom being fed with 7-10psi. Esp since there are A LOT of parts ready for them, unlike us :(

Even the 2ZZ-GE has trouble hitting 200WHP on an N/A build.

It's all about the K20 now.... I hate to say it but Honda is definitely king when it comes to building powerful high-revving naturally aspirated 4-cylinder engines.

That might be true but mostly because of the fact that there are alot of parts/kits readily available for them. Most of parts for our cars are either custom or very hard to come by. Thats when dr.Tweek, people like vamp and the other turbo'd rollas in this forum come in. They prove that we can do it too!

Aftermarket is harder to come by because there are less people willing to drop the benjamins on their Toyotas, but you're right.... some members this site are the exception to that belief and I'm glad to be a part this community. Forced induction tends to be much less expensive for larger power gains while a naturally aspirated engine tend to offer more reliability at the expense of cost. I prefer the latter. :)
