    Nothing these days is free my friend..

    Just get a bunch of buddies to pitch in for like a weekend trial of a carfax. Thats what my friends mom did. We got unlimited carfax reports for the weekend

    yeah if you go to a dealership they might charge you like 5 dollars for a report....or something just talk to a cool sales person or the receptionist.

    might be trading in my vw and want to see if the accident where i was rear ended shows up. if it shows up than the value would be too low to trade in.

    if the police werent involved it shouldnt show up...at least thats what happened to me. i was rear ended and i just took it to the shop. checked my carfax and it didnt show up...yvmv though.

    I took my car into Cottman Transmission for a quote on transmission rebuild one time and now it shows up in my CARFAX. Super lame. I did not even have Cottman fix it and now it's on my permanent record.

    Be wary of Carfax, they arent always accurate and arent willing to change anything that they show as correct.
