i have a white car and i don't think a carbon fiber trunk would look well. There is someone around my neighborhood who drives a Pontiac GTO with carbon fiber hood and trunk. Looks cool at first, but it really messes up the ascetics of the car once u look twice.

Yea but unless u'r car is black or dark blue it won't look good with a carbon fiber trunk. Major street kudos but thats it. A Carbon fiber hood with carbon fiber side mirrors, is as far as i would go.

Yup. No moldings on mine either. If you want white moldings though, you can buy my stock ones off me. :D

lol fine i guess i will have to reevaluate my decision.

Maybe with a pointless carbon fiber roof (like the m3) AND WITH same shade tints IT could work. MAYBE!!

It's really pointless since, it won't help you reduce that much weight that you can feel the difference. It's purely cosmetic and leaves you with two license plate recesses!!! HAHAHAHHAHA You can put the US plate in the top one and a Japanese one in the bottom one. LOL Pimpin! No, seriously. Don't do it. :D:D:D:D

Jordan, why don't u paint those side moldings. It will leave the car looking so much nicer and it shouldn be that expensive. Thats what i did. I took off my side moldings altogether.

LoL u can finally buy one of those chrome emblem license plates that u see on auto show cars. They are usually deemed useless cause many states require front license plates. I rather have a shaved trunk lid, make it harder for the cops u know = ). But its pointless if its gonna be carbon fiber.

i think i decided not to remove the side moldings and leaving it there. yeah...just my own opinions and crap. maybe over time if i wanna remove them then i will, its not hard, but i probably wont pain them.

and...recessing the license plate in the front bumper...where am i suppose to move it to? dont wanna remove it and get caught slippin with the cops. i might just leave it there in the center...or move it to the side of the bumper.

Just a question but why would you pull the moldings off your car? I know it would give it a cleaner look but those moldings have saved me from alot of dings and dents from idiots in parking lots. I think moldings on a car would look cleaner than dents and chips. But thats my opinion.

I've never had problems with people dinging or denting my car. If they did, I would kill them. Maybe that's why they don't. :D

Lol yea i have a few nicks on my plastic molding on my door that could have been dings in my doors.. also with my old car i was at the gas station and this older guy just gets out of his car and props his door on mine pretty hard so he has a supporter to get out of his car.. if my car wasnt so crappy back then i would have had a word with him but i didnt wanna cause a big commotion so i just gave him the evil eye and ripped out of there. :)

I never got around to paiting mine so i just removed them. And same here i have never had any dings in the parking lot cause of not having moldings. I did however get scrapped with a biggg asss dent when someone was entering a spot and like came in to wide. All of the rear fender, from where the bumper ends to where the door starts, was dented with huge black marks. I tried removing the dents on my own and buffed it out real good. But it still is rather dented. I found it like that when i came back = /. I was so MADDDDD.

I think wat u should go for, is a black stripe decal for the side of the car to match the tint.

i dont really like the idea of putting on vinyls, especially onto my corolla. lol, it would be kinda weird (not ricey in my opinion, but weird), and kinda eye-catchy...maybe

i dont have a problem w/ decals tho, heh. not too much.

im planning to get a cf hood in the future, maybe there will be one available also for the trunks.
